Central banking — France
Banque de FranceFIBRE
A portal for managing the operational processes behind corporate and retail banking files.
Context
Banking files move through defined operational processes, and those processes are where the institution's obligations actually live. Corporate and retail cases follow different paths but have to be handled with the same rigour, which puts the weight on the system that carries them: it has to make the state of a file, and what happens to it next, unambiguous.
Solution
Next Level Code delivered FIBRE, the portal through which Banque de France manages the operational processes attached to corporate and retail banking files. It gives both categories a single environment in which their processes are carried out.
Benefits
- Corporate and retail banking files handled through one operational portal.
- Process management made explicit rather than distributed across informal practice.
- A system built to the standards a central bank applies to its own operations.
